Substitutions
Golden Sweetener If you don't have this sweetener, then you can add more brown sugar or cinnamon syrup. This syrup, however, won't have the same flavor as true brown sugar.
Cinnamon Sugar-Free syrup - You can substitute this syrup with the sugar-free golden sweetener or powdered cinnamon. This replacement may not dissolve in cold brew coffee.
To make cold brew coffee at your home you can use sugar-free brown sugar straight away to make the coffee. Simply add 3 tablespoons of the cold brew recipe to the section below.
Heavy whipping cream and milk - You don't have to use heavy cream and unsweetened nuts milk. Instead, you can use half an egg.
Use a creamer made from non-dairy ingredients to make a veganbrown Sugar Cream Cold Brew. These brands include Silk, Califia Farms and Nut Pods. Silk whips up a dairy-free whipping milk that is perfect for this drink. This Silk product can be paired with a Nut Pod creamer.
Cold-brew Coffee
Cold brew can be purchased at the shop or made by you using this simple recipe.
- Place 1 cup of coarse coffee in a photo, then add 4 cups cold water.
- Keep the photo in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours.
- You can then strain the coffee grinds, and get cold brew coffee.
I love using a fine mesh strainer, then adding a coffee filter to the mesh strainer.
Tools for Frothing
A handheld milk frother is my favorite tool. It's lightweight and easy to store on my countertop.
An immersion blender, milk frother or single-serve blender are all options. A French press can be used to make foam.
A mason jar is the last option. Close the lid and shake vigorously.
